Use Your Plotter to Cut Paint Protection Film
As a graphic designer and auto decal creator, working with vinyl is a joy and makes many projects easier because of the use of a plotter. A plotter can cut any vinyl material so that it can be used for pin striping, decaling or even clear paint protection film. It also saves money because it is more cost effective to purchase a roll of the film rather than purchasing the kits that come precut for the specific vehicle type. Because these rolls come in many different widths, they can be used on any part of the vehicle and can be custom cut to fit the exact shape to ensure ease of application.
Most people who want to protect their paint job want to have a bra installed and perhaps some protection for the rear of the vehicle. With a plotter, the film can be cut for each section of the car to make it easy to install. For the person who wants to protect the entire vehicle, this is also possible when you use your plotter to cut the paint protection film to fit. Again, each section can be applied separately and that means that there is less work to be done during the installation.
You should let your clients know that there is a definite bonus to using clear vinyl over other types of paint protection such as leather and vinyl bras that are hooked onto the vehicle with straps. The clear vinyl is applied directly to the body of the vehicle without the use of straps so there is no way for it to hurt the paint job. Simply apply it in the same way that any pin striping or decaling is installed on the vehicle and it is ready to go on the road.
It lasts more than five years and is just as easy to remove as it is to install and does not hurt the paint when the protection is removed after five years. It can then be replaced with new clear paint protection film and that means return business for your company. When you purchase the film in wholesale quantities you can have a higher profit margin for your company and can protect your own vehicles for just the time it takes to install the film on it. Since not many graphic and auto decaling shops are offering this service yet, you can be the first one in your area and therefore have a monopoly on the product.
Any sign shop or auto decaling location needs to have some rolls of paint protection film on hand to use on vehicles that want an alternative to leather or vinyl bras. It can be cut to fit by using your plotter and is easy to install and remove without harming the paint or vehicle in any way. With over five years of protection, the customer gets protected for many years while you are ensured a return customer when the paint protection needs replacing.
